On the Academic Profiles individual institution R&D pages, "All R&D fields" totals did not include the social sciences field counts from the short-form population of the Higher Education Research and Development (HERD) Survey from 2014 to 2023. The social science R&D totals were also displayed as "0" for these years on the individual short-form institution R&D pages. HERD Data Table 84 displays the correct 2023 totals for these institutions. The individual institution pages have been corrected. The Total R&D expenditures page and broader R&D rankings were unaffected.

To match the data tables published at the NCSES GSS survey site, Academic Profiles have been updated to only include the counts of "male" and "female" responses for gender in the latest published data tables released on 04/24/2025.
